Project Coordination and Strategic Alignment Meeting
The two-day CLAN!’s SRTLs Project Coordination Meeting, held from 8th–9th April 2026 in Nairobi, successfully concluded, marking a key milestone in strengthening collaboration and implementation across partners.
The meeting brought together representatives from Local Implementing Partners (LIPs) and newly onboarded Gender Implementing Partners (GIPs) to align on workplans, budgets, and priority project areas for the effective delivery of the #SecuringRegisteredTitletoOurLands (SRTLs) project. This alignment is critical in ensuring coordinated action and impactful implementation across all target communities.
Through the SRTLs project, funded by The Tenure Facility, CLAN! Network is currently supporting 53 communities across 17 counties in Kenya. The project is implemented in partnership with six (6) Local Implementing Partners and is now further strengthened by the inclusion of six (6) Gender Implementing Partners, reinforcing the integration of gender-responsive approaches in community land processes.
A key highlight of the meeting was the formalization of partnerships, where three Gender Implementing Partners Patinaai Osim, Illaramatak Community Concerns, and Pastoralist Peoples Initiative signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with CLAN!, affirming their commitment to advancing inclusive land tenure processes.
Led by the CLAN! SC Chairperson, Anne Samante, the meeting convened heads of the Steering Committee (SC) alongside members of the Secretariat. The engagement reinforced a shared commitment to enhanced coordination, accountability, and strategic alignment to ensure effective and impactful delivery of the SRTLs project.
This milestone reflects CLAN!’s continued dedication to building strong partnerships and driving collective action towards securing community land rights.
